Trip to the Springs Resort in Fortuna home of volcan Arenal. Taking advantage of a long weekend, we went with another Lincoln school family, the Despians' who've become close family friends. It was a beautiful weather weekend, in the midst of the rainy season we escaped rain and enjoyed the resorts 18 natural springs pools and waterslide. We even had the rare treat of seeing volcan Arenal erupt lava at night, what a sight! The red lava spurting and traveling down the side of the volcano was amazing! It was a very peaceful, restful trip and has become a favorite of our we'll surely revisit.
From our room we had marvelous views of volcan Arenal.

We enjoyed a 3 day weekend in Santa Rosa visiting family at the end of our California summer visit. We also squeezed in a high school reunion for Brad which was fun.
Brad's sister Reven (top left) holding her grandaughter Katherine, our nieces Heather and Claire , Heather's kids, Elizabeth (bottom left) ,her sister Anna bannana and brother John. Heather and her four kids picked me up friday from Palo Alto where I was working and we trekked together to Santa Rosa fighting the friday afternoon commute traffic. Healther was doling out happy meals to the kids while I took the wheel, it was a fun ride and we had plenty of time to catch up! After getting used to driving in CR, driving thru downtown San Fran was a piece of cake!
We got to meet Avarie Eccles, the newest member to the Foulger family. She's 4 months here and has the most beautiful blue eyes!
Her mother Lindsay was very proud to show her off :)
We headed to the park to wear out all our little ones and get caught up, one of our favorite Santa Rosa spots, Howarth Park. Stevie, Tatum, Anna and Gabi.
A bit hard to see everyone as the shadows are wreaking havoc...lined up are Brad, Taty, Taylor, McKenna, Anna and Lindsay.
Anna bannana swinging. She and Tatum are inseparable when together, very fun to see such close cousins!
